Four Years & Counting

East Stroudsburg, PA, September 1, 2017 – On August 28, 2017, Patterson-Kelley hosted a barbecue to celebrate four years without a recordable incident. The celebration luncheon brought employees and corporate leaders together to commemorate Patterson-Kelley’s recent achievements. Both Scott Gerson, President of the Industrial Division, and Jeremy Zahn, Vice President of Global Safety at Harsco, shared words of appreciation for P-K’s commitment to safety and productivity as well as continuous organization improvements.

In addition to the safety milestone, the P-K team also celebrated employee achievements. During the luncheon, P-K’s very own Process Engineering Manager and Continuous Improvement Lead, Laureen Pellegrino was recognized for achieving the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from Air Academy Associates. The project featured hands-on training with an emphasis on a simplistic management approach to generate business growth and breakthrough improvements.

The excitement continued as Linda Diffley, Vice President and General Manager of Patterson Kelley, recognized multiple members of the Research and Development Department (lovingly referred to as the NURO® team) for finalizing two utility patents for the NURO® Control System.

All of Patterson-Kelley’s accomplishments are the result of a team environment that centers on safety and communication. Safety is the choice that is made every day.
