Indianapolis, IN – On September 27th, the National Safety Council recognized 43 members with the Rising Star of Safety Award, including our very own Meghan Shambach. The Rising Star Award represents an individual’s commitment and dedication to safety in the workplace. The celebration took place at the 2017 NSC Congress and Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana. Every year, individuals under the age 40 are recognized at this event for being leaders in workplace safety.
Eliminating preventable deaths in the workplace is the NSC’s number one goal and every safety initiative is one-step closer to achieving it.
“Our Rising Stars understand that safety is not a spectator sport,” said NSC President and CEO Deborah Hersman. “Their dedication to creating a safety culture at their workplaces helps ensure their colleagues go home safely every day. We are thrilled to recognize their inspiring work.”
Every day, EHS professionals like Meghan work hard to find solutions to age-old safety problems. Because of their dedication to safety, millions of workers, including P-K employees, go home safe. For this reason, we would like to congratulate Meghan on all her achievements. It takes leadership and dedication to ensure that all P-K employees arrive home safely every day.
